Holle Cropper Standard
Land of Origin: Netherland.
General Appearance:
Wide, short symmetrically aligned and well proportioned dwarfkropper with a well rounded shape, allowing the bird to be placed in a circle; flexible and decorative in its movement, dependable in character.
Breed Characteristics:
Stance:
Calm, unforced and horizontal.
Head:
Medium sized, oval, well rounded and a lightly woven; straightly worn so that the beak rests in the middle of the blown up crop.
Beak:
Medium length, well closed and straight, with the understanding that the top portion of the beak is slightly curved at the point. Flesh colored in the white, red and yellow birds, black in the black, blue and grays and horn colored in birds of the colors that remain.
Wattles:
Small, fine in texture and powdered white.
Eyes:
Round and lively in expression; dark in the whites, while in birds of the remaining colors, the Iris is orange red to yellow in color. (Brown birds: pearl/false pearl (Johan??))
Ceres:
Thin and fine in texture; depending on color of the bird, it can vary from a light flesh color to a dark grey.
Throat:
Well defined, not visible once the balloon has been inflated.
Nek:
Long, flexible and decoratively bent backwards over the back so that a vertical line can be dropped from the eye and touch the ground behind the legs, yet not so deeply bent so that the head rests on the back; loosely worn so that the neck graciously moves up and down when the bird struts about; when cooing the bird draws its neck backwards in one sweep (sgn. nekslag), where after the bird assumes the described stance.
Balloon: In the blown up state it completes the circular line of the bird, worn in a flexible and controlled manner overflowing the shoulders.
Shoulders: Wide, worn upwards and tightly against the body.
Chest: Wide and round.
Rump: Short, wide and well filled.
Back: Wide and hollow.
Wings: Length in proportion to the body, so that the wing tips are worn, mostly more or less in the crossed position ending just before the end of the tail, broad and tightly worn.
Tail: Short, consisting of sturdy broad tail feathers, tightly worn in an upward direction.
Legs: Medium length, straight and well placed under the body, with the knee joint slightly bent in a backward position; Carmen red in color; the color of the nails corresponding to that of the beak.
Feathering: Thick and excessive, smooth and tight.

Checked: Ash Red, Ash Yellow, Blue, Bue Silver, Brown, Ochre
Barred: Mealie, Cream, Blue, Blue Silver, Silver Dun, Silver Cream

Color and appearance:
Self-colored: White - pure White with a satinish sheen around the neck;
Black: deep black with a beetle green sheen, especially around the neck;
Blue: Intense blue, being darker with a green glaze on the head, neck and chest; the wing shields having two narrow, continual and contrasted black bars; the primary and tail feathers are darker in color and across the tail at about 1/2 cm from the edge of the tail a circular 3 cm wide dark bar;
Blue Grizzle: a Mixture of blue and white (pepper- and salt color), varying from light to dark with preference for the middle color, darker with sheen around the neck; the wing shields having two narrow, continual bars which should be as dark as possible; dark primary and tail feathers.
Red - warm red with a sheen around the neck area; yellow - orangey yellow with sheen around the neck area;
Bluesilver - light silvercolor, being darker with a green sheen at the head, neck and chest; wing bars, tail bar and primary flights as dark as possible-,
Mealie – clear pearl grey with a red sheen; head , neck and chest giving a reddish brown sheen; wingbars red;
Cream bar – soft cream colored head, neck and chest sheening yellow; Wing bars yelow;
Pied: the birds in this color variation are colored as normal, with the exception of the half moon shaped white marking (bib) on the balloon which should be as symmetrical as possible, white rump, thighs and the bottom portion of the chest, 7-11 white primaries and in red, yellow and ash yellow a white tail; on the wing shields at the wing arch a rosette , consisting of 7-12 white wing cover feathers, that are alternated by colored feathers as far as possible to avoid the appearance of being one big white area.
The color of the wing and tail bars, and also the colored portions should have the same intensity and sheen as the solid colored birds that have been described; feathers in the tigered birds in this variety consist of colored feathers that are alternated with white by obtaining an as even spread as possible; wing- and tail feathers are colored.
The color, as far as the intensity and sheen is concerned should be as has been described for the self colors.
Disqualifications:
Strong downward angled back, to such an extent that the back touches the ground, skew neck and balloon, skew tail, wrong leg placement with respect to the body, x- or o-legs, round back, wings carried below the tail
In pied birds: colored feathers amongst the white feathers, or white feathers among the colored feathers, with regard to the 6 outer primaries and tail feathers.
With pied and tigered : colored feathers amongst the whites and white feathers amongst the colored in the wing or tail.
Faults:
Stance not horizontal enough; stiff neck; neck not long enough; balloon not blown up; narrow body; to long in the tail end; insufficient color; insufficient character.
